Bug Reports & Feedback
Bug reports, suggestions, and feedback are invaluable. We’d rather receive the same bug report 50 times or a suggestion 10 times than risk missing important issues. You can post on the Steam forums or in our Discord community. While we may not respond to every post, we read everything.
Please keep in mind that Frostzone Entertainment AS is run by a single developer, so responses may take time, especially for technical support or detailed inquiries.
Reporting a Bug
If you encounter a crash, bug, or any issue, please provide as much detail as possible, including:
A clear description of the problem.
What you were doing before the issue occurred.
Steps to reproduce the issue (if possible).
Log files (highly recommended). These often contain the error and allow for a quicker fix.
Avoid vague messages like "I need help" or "My project won’t load." These don’t provide enough information, leading to unnecessary back-and-forth and slower issue resolution.
Locating Log Files
If you haven't restarted Card Engine after the issue:
You can find the log files here:
%UserProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\Frostzone Entertainment\Card Engine
If you have restarted Card Engine:
Open Card Engine.
In the main menu, click the three horizontal lines (top-right corner).
Go to Settings and click Log Files to open the folder.
Now, reproduce the issue by loading your project.
Once the issue occurs, close Card Engine and copy the two
.log
files for your report.

Bug Report Example
Example 1 (Detailed Issue with Log Files)
✅ Good Report:
"Hi! Card Engine gets stuck at 50% when loading my project. I was exploring the app, checking my project folder, looking at some files, then I quit. When I reopened it today, it won’t load. The log files are attached."
💡 This helps immediately diagnose the issue—likely a modified or missing project file. The log files will confirm the problem.
Example 2 (Reproducible Bug Without Logs)
✅ Good Report:
"Hello, I found a bug when deleting layers. To reproduce: create a new card, add a layer, move it to the last position, add an image to the first layer, then delete the last layer. The image on the first layer gets deleted too."
💡 Since this is easy to reproduce, logs aren't necessary. This report is clear, actionable, and saves debugging time.
Thank you for helping improve Card Engine! 🚀
